Snowy Promise:
~~~I still remember the day we met as if it never ended. A small little girl crouched down by the side of a small creek, falling snow covering her (h/c) head. I felt my heart leap at the sight of your soft smile when you turned to look at me. Your (e/c) brightened and your hand flew into the air as you called out to me.
“Russia!” You happily cried out motioning me to come to you. I can feel a smile work its way onto my face.
“___________”~~~~
Russia awoke from a start jolting himself out of bed and onto the hard floor below. The resounding thud shook the whole house and warned Lithuania that Russia would not be in a good mood that morning.
“It looks like it’s time to go grocery shopping!” Lithuania exclaimed quickly running out of the house with only the clothes on his back. Up in his room Russia heard the shuffling of Lithuania running out of his house. Russia smiled darkly as he decided that when Lithuania got back they would have some fun. Russia slowly got up from the cold oak floor stretching his back. Russia quickly went to dress for the day trying his hardest to rid himself of his childhood memory. Russia rubbed a hand over his tired eyes as he looked in the mirror. The man that looked back had bags under his eyes from sleepless nights and seemed far older than Russia really was. Russia chuckled placing a hand on the mirror as he moved away toward the shower. For the last few days as Christmas approached, Russia continued to have dreams about a girl from his childhood. Russia turned the facet of the shower on and steaming water poured down into the tub. Every year the dream would plague him and once Christmas was over the dreams would fade away into mist. Russia let the water roll down his muscular shoulders as he thought that tonight the dream would come once more and then end for at least another year. Russia sighed as he reached for the soap, only to be interrupted by a door bell ring. Now usually Lithuania was home to receive whoever came to visit Russia which was usually never. Russia continued to wash up expecting Lithuania to answer the door for him. After a moment the doorbell stopped ringing, but as Russia leaned over for the shampoo it started back up again. Russia frowned pulling the curtain back a bit and leaned his head out of the shower.
“Lithuania, door!” He yelled out expecting to be heard over the doorbell. Having received no answer Russia turned off the shower and grabbed a yellow towel he had laid out the night before. He wrapped the towel around his waist and left the bathroom. Once in his room the doorbell stopped it’s ringing and a series of knocks took its place. Russia moved out into the hallway and down to the large oak doors to call on the visitor.
“Someone shall pay for this, da!” He said to himself, but somewhere in town Lithueana shuddered as if having heard Russia threat. Russia smiled as he opened the door to invite his guest to become acquainted to his pipe. Russia’s smile soon left he face as he gasped at the person on his door step. Her (h/c) was blanketed with snow. She smiled up at Russia, her (e/c) brightening at the sight of him. She slowly opened up her fist to wave at Russia.
“Russia?” She called out her smile growing wider as the tears grew in her dazzling (e/c) eyes. Russia took in a deep breath as it all came back to him.
~~~They stood together holding hands, tears rolling down her (s/c) cheeks.
“I…I’m sorry!” She sobbed looking down at their enjoined hands. Russia smiled sadly looking over at the creek watching as ice formed over the babbling water. The young nation before him was leaving for her home, and would not be back for a long time. Russia had asked her to stay with him, but she declined because they were nations. Russia never hated being a nation as much as he did in that moment.
“Ru..Russia?” She called out and he returned his purple gaze back onto her shaking figure. She was so fragile in his eyes and needed someone to protect her from the cruel others. She was his only friend and he didn’t want to lose his constant companion that he loved.
“I’ll become stronger so we can be together!” Russia exclaimed pulling her into his arms and holding onto her tight.
“I promise one day!” Russia pleaded his grip tightening on her small form. She hugged him back letting the warmth of her body spread into his cold bones. She pulled away looking deeply into his purple eyes and holding his pale cheeks in her chubby hands.
“Someday I’ll be with you again. Until then let’s promise to meet her every year.” She proposed giggling softly as she leaned forward, placing a small kiss on the bridge of his nose. A dark blush heated Russia’s face as he ducked down a bit to place a kiss on the little girl’s lips. She pulled back as smiled at Russia tilting her head to the side.
“Why’d you do that?” She asked placing a hand onto her lips. Russia giggled putting a hand over his lips as well.
“Since I can’t keep you for Christmas I’ll take a kiss instead!” He exclaimed causing the girl before him to blush beet red.
“Then next Christmas when we meet again I’ll give you that gift!”~~~
In a blur Russia was out the door wrapping the young women before him into his arms.
“R..Russia!” She squeaked having been caught unguarded and thrown backwards into the soft snow.
“Merry Christmas to me, da!” Russia laughed pulling back a bit to gaze down at the girl before him. She blinked up at him, before realization settled in and she smiled back.
“It took a while, but….” She said as she wrapped her arms around Russia’s neck. She slowly brought his head down until their noses were touching.
“Merry Christmas, Ivan.” She breathed placing a gentle kiss on his lips. He kissed back smiling into the kiss as he placed a hand on her cheek. He pulled out of the kiss to place a kiss on her nose.
“Welcome home, _______.” He whispered placing another kiss on her lips.

RussiaxReader: I Promise
Snuggling up under the sheets, you started falling asleep. It was Saturday evening and the rain was pouring outside. You didn't really feel like moving much from where you lay either.
Though, before you could fall asleep, there was a knocking at the door. 'W-who the heck could that be?' Holding the blanket over your shoulders, you went to the door and opened it to your friend Ivan, aka Russia.
Something was off though. He was still smiling brightly as he usually did, warming your heart, but the glint in his eyes was not the usual sparkle that went along with it. It was more of a painful and longing look.
He was

Why I now love snowstorms - Russia x Reader
I just had to come out, didn't I? It was late at night, freezing cold, and now snowing. America said everything would be fine since he went out in this kind of weather before, though he also added how much it, in his words, "Froze my grapes off!" Which made me giggle at the way he said that, wearing his goofy grin. I sometimes wonder why we hang out, seeing as Russia doesn't seem too fond of him...
Russia...Just the simple thought of him made the snow seem like nothing more than hot water on an ice-cube, melting away into clear, see-through water. That's how my feelings were, whenever I was around him. Anyone with eyes could clearly see how
